Ein paar Worte von der Spendenaktion

Pilot is a 6 month old Birman and the love my life. We’ve had him for 12 weeks and he has bought me and my two young boys so much joy. Four weeks ago he became ill and I took him to vet who said he was most likely suffering from a little virus and should be better within a few days. He did improve a somewhat but was ill again only a week later. Over the past 3 weeks he has been at the vets 7 seven times and have had multiple test performed many test including blood and urine. He barely eats and has lost a third of his body weight. The vets informed me a week ago he most likely has FIP and they wanted me to have him put-down, since they I have researched as much as I can and found out about CureFIP. The GS drug is not approved here in New Zealand, we have an approved drug called Remdesivir which is in short supply with a three week wait. Pilot does not have that time.

It is heart breaking to see my once healthy and happy rollie pollie kitten go downhill so fast. To date I have already spent close to $1,700 NZ dollars in vet fees alone not including medication.

I am a single working mother with a 7 and 8 year old struggling to survive in the current poor state of the New Zealand Economy with inflation at the highest it has been in 30 years. Like many New Zealander’s I am live week to week struggling to pay my bills and did not anticipate the cost in thousands of trying to save my beautiful wee kittens life. I took out Pet Insurance but there is a stand down period of 21 days and they have classed his condition as a pre-exiting, so it is not covering. I am doing all I can for him but just really need some help financially to be able to afford the ongoing GS medication I so desperately need to save his life.
