Eloise was rescued at 5 weeks of age on the brink of death weighing less than 300 grams. She was the only survivor from her litter. Once her health was restored and things seemed like we had beat the odds stacked against her. But the last possible thing we feared could happen inevitably did happen. She stopped growing and her belly swelled with fluid, fever, and she was hungry but unable to eat. She was diagnosed with FIP. We immediately started treatment with injections. Luckily we already had medication left from the last one we treated. This is the 5th cat I have treated now and because I care for a colony of cats I am struggling to afford the rest of her treatment. She has grown to 4.5 pounds after 6 weeks of treatment and I am hopeful to complete a full 12 weeks of treatment. But funds are stretched thin and there's always more than one medical issue going on at any given time caring for a colony. So I am participating in curefip donate in hopes of finishing treatment with a little help. It would be wonderful to be able to afford pill capsules instead of doing injections but I would be grateful just to afford enough injections to complete the full 12 week course.
