After a serious, abnormal symptoms, our 6.5 yo Maine Coon Mr. KAMBA has been confirmed with wet fip (belly liquid pcr rt test).

As he was on steroids before it all happenned, it was totally not the diagnosis we were aiming for. The cat was ruby/ purple (skin ears toungue), the hurting belly was clean inside, nothing else happened, only light fever and 1 time fever 39.8 for just 1 night, and a week after hospital we got pancreatitis and a liquid in the belly.

Nevertheless, although all blod test and electrophoresis were not 100% sure for fip, we couldn't ignore the fluid pcr test and that our cat has been loosing himself and his "light" day by day feeling worse and worse. We started treatment with curefip injections. Each day is better but we still have a long way to win.

As he is 10 kg cat, the costs of treatment are super high.

Only for the diagnostics before treatment we spent almost 1800 eur. Now our fight has begun and we need to make sure we will manage to make it up to 84 days of treatment.
